Electrical Eels are a supernatural species of Shapeshifters that were introduced during Season 5 of MTV's Teen Wolf. The only known Electrical Eel is the Part-Werewolf Chimera, Josh Diaz, who was artificially turned by the Dread Doctors.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Shapeshifting: Electrical Eels have the power to transform their appearance to glowing purple eyes, long, thin and crooked fangs, and razor-sharp claws that can glow.
    • Claw Retraction: They possess retractable claws, that they can extend and retract at will.
      • Glowing Claws: Whilst using their electric-based powers, their claws glow purple, like their eyes.
    • Fang Retraction: They possess retractable fangs, that they can extend and retract at will. These fangs are long, thin, and crooked in appearance.
    • Glowing Eyes: They possess eyes that they can make glow bright-purple at will.
      • Eye-Color Shifting: They can shift between their 'Human' eyes, and their 'Electrical Eel' eyes.
  • Superhuman Condition: Electrical Eels possess capabilities/attributes/aspects drastically beyond what is naturally possible.
    • Superhuman Body: Electrical Eels possess physical abilities that are glaringly, obviously and super/unnaturally physically superior over other beings.
      • Accelerated Healing: An Electrical Eel's body regenerates its cells at an incredible rate, giving them an immunity to all human illnesses and conditions as well as allowing them to heal from mild to moderate injuries within minutes. As a result of this healing factor, they are unable to get drunk on alcohol or high on drugs.
        • Longevity: Because an Electrical Eel's rapid cellular healing prevents them from contracting any human illness or condition and replaces aging cells at a constant rate, they have a tremendously extended lifespan.
      • Super Agility: Electrical Eels possess superhuman agility that is equal to or greater than that of a Werewolf.
      • Super Speed: Electrical Eels possess superhuman speed that is equal to or greater than that of an Werewolf.
      • Super Strength: Electrical Eels possess superhuman strength that is equal to or greater than that of a Werewolf.
  • Telekinesis: Electrical Eels have limited forms of telekinesis, such as:
    • Electrokinesis: Electrical Eels have the power to create, shape, and manipulate electricity at will.
    • Electromagnetokinesis: Electrical Eels have the power to create, shape, and manipulate electromagnetism at will.

Weaknesses[]

  • Mountain Ash: Electrical Eels, like the majority of supernatural species in the show, most likely cannot cross barriers made of mountain ash or rowan wood, nor could they touch or manipulate the wood or its ash in a non-barrier form. This would make them vulnerable to being trapped within a ring of mountain ash, or being prevented from entering an area that has been warded with it.

Known Electrical Eels[]

Josh Diaz[]

Part-Werewolf/Part-Electrical Eel; Chimera

Josh Diaz was a supporting character in Season 5 of Teen Wolf. He was first introduced as a club kid who spent a lot of time partying at Sinema, the new nightclub. At some point in the late summer/early autumn of 2012, Josh was captured by the Dread Doctors and experimented on, which caused him to turn into a Werewolf/Electrical Eel Chimera. He gained retractable fangs and claws, glowing purple eyes, and the ability to absorb and control electricity, magnetism, and electromagnetic fields.

Shortly after his last round of experimentation, Josh ran around town chewing on electrical cables to absorb the energy from them, eventually ending up on the roof of Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital. After he finished chewing on the cables to the generator, he attacked Stiles Stilinski, who had accidentally wandered onto the roof during a hallucination after he had read The Dread Doctors novel by Gabriel Valack. Before Josh could kill him, however, Theo Raeken intervened and started to fight Josh, which ultimately led to Theo ripping out Josh's throat with his claws in self-defense.
