ā€œ Jennifer: "That's right, Kali, look at me. Look at my face. Do you know what it takes to be able to look like this? To be able to look normal?"
Kali: "I don't care."
"Jennifer: It takes power. Power like this."
Kali: "I... I should've... I SHOULD HAVE RIPPED YOUR HEAD OFF!!"
Jennifer: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

ā€” Kali and Jennifer's last conversation before Jennifer kills Kali in Lunar Ellipse

The relationship between Augmented Alpha Werewolf Kali and Darach Jennifer Blake (also known as Julia Baccari)

Kali and Jennifer have seemingly known each other for years; what has been revealed thus far was that Jennifer, back when she was still known as Julia Baccari, was trained to become a Druid Emissary and eventually became the Emissary to Kali's original pack. It is unknown the full extent of their relationship but, judging by Kali's statement that she loved Julia, it was implied that they were very close. ("The Overlooked")

However, this relationship was put to a test when Kali's fellow Alpha Deucalion became blind and killed all of his Betas to become an Augmented Alpha, leading him to recruit both Ennis and Kali so they could form the infamous Alpha Pack, which would be composed solely of Augmented Alpha Werewolves. ("Visionary") Ennis was the first to kill his Betas and Emissary and immediately joined the Alpha Pack, and Kali followed suit by killing her Betas in order to be with Ennis, with whom she was implied to be in a romantic relationship. However, Deucalion insisted that Julia had to be killed as well, even despite Kali's insistence that she was harmless.

Despite this hesitation, Kali ultimately mauled Julia almost to the point of death in the woods, but was unable to bring herself to deliver the killing blow. After some inner conflict, Kali ultimately decided that the most merciful thing that she could do for Julia was let her die from her wounds and walked away. What Kali did not expect was that Julia, despite the severity of her wounds, had managed to crawl toward the Beacon Hills Nemeton and absorbed some of the spark of power that the tree had recently received from Paige Krasikeva's mercy-killing at the hands of her boyfriend Derek Hale (which was essentially an inadvertent virgin sacrifice) in order to stay alive long enough for her to be found by Sheriff Stilinski and several deputies.

She was then taken to Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital for treatment and to recover from the trauma of the attack. At the hospital, she vowed to make Kali and the other Alphas suffer for the death and destruction that they had wrought by becoming a Darach, known as a Druid who has gone down the dark path. Julia then began her quest to gain the power necessary to complete her mission, starting with a mass sacrifice of crows, which she summoned while she was in surgery, clinging onto life. ("The Girl Who Knew Too Much")

Several years later, upon learning Deucalion, Kali, and the rest of the Alpha Pack had returned to Beacon Hills to add Derek Hale, the newly ascended Hale Alpha, and Scott McCall, a Beta who possessed the potential to become an exceptionally rare True Alpha, to their ranks ("Currents"), ("The Overlooked"), Julia, now under the identity and appearance of Jennifer Blake, was hired as an English teacher in Beacon Hills High School in order to monitor the terror the Alphas were causing to the Hale Pack and those teens who would eventually make up the McCall Pack. ("Tattoo")

Kali and the rest of the Alpha Pack remained oblivious of Jennifer's true identity as Kali's Emissary; in fact, Jennifer's glamouring power was so strong that it could change her scent as well, as proven in one occasion when Kali kidnapped Jennifer to use her against Derek and did not recognize her scent as being that of her former Emissary. ("Currents")

By the time Jennifer had already sacrificed four sets of human trios to obtain certain powers (virgins for seduction and further developing her glamouring ability, warriors for superhuman strength and combat skills, healers for impressive healing of oneself and others, and philosophers for supernaturally-enhanced intelligence and knowledge), Deucalion, Kali and the twins found out the truth about Jennifer and attempted to kill her several times, only to be foiled by Scott and his allies. ("The Overlooked")

Jennifer and Kali ultimately battled each other in Derek's loft, which ended with Jennifer easily overpowering her former Alpha, before Jennifer gave Kali the chance to apologize for what she did to her. However, Kali, despite feeling remorseful for what she had done to her best friend, spitefully lashed out that she should have "ripped [Jennifer]'s head off," leading Jennifer to use her telekinesis to shove hundreds of shards of broken glass into Kali's entire body, killing her. Following her failure in using the lunar eclipse to eliminate Deucalion, Jennifer was overpowered by Derek, Deucalion and Scott before she had her throat clawed out by Peter Hale, allowing her to join Kali in death. ("Lunar Ellipse")

Throughout Teen Wolf[]

In Currents, Kali, after having somehow found out about Jennifer's romantic relationship with Derek Hale, one of two Werewolves Deucalion was trying to recruit for the Alpha Pack, decided to use Jennifer as leverage to get Derek to fight her one-on-one, as she blamed him for the death of her packmate Ennis. She had her other two packmates, the twin Alphas Ethan and Aiden, bring Jennifer into Derek's loft in a choke-hold as Kali made Derek (who, with the help of his Betas Isaac Lahey and Vernon Boyd, had attempted to set up an electricity and water-based trap in the loft which was defeated when the Alphas turned the power off to the building) choose between fighting her and watching Jennifer die.

Strangely enough, Kali had no idea that she was in the presence of her former Emissary Julia Baccari, due to Jennifer's immense skill with her glamouring power that even masked her scent to shapeshifters. Even though Isaac ended up keeping Jennifer safe throughout the ordeal, and Derek's sister, Cora Hale, and their allies, Stiles Stilinski and Lydia Martin, managed to turn the power back on, the trap only did more harm than goodā€”Kali was only slightly injured by the electrical shock, and both Boyd and Derek were shocked as well, the former of which was so affected that he was unable to heal after Kali and the twins forced Derek's claws into Boyd's chest, causing Derek to involuntarily steal his power.

Kali then gave Derek a final ultimatumā€”he had until the next full moon to kill his Betas and join the Alpha Pack, or she'd come back and kill Derek and everyone around him, Jennifer included.

In The Overlooked,

In Lunar Ellipse, Kali returned to Derek's loft to kill him when he failed to agree to the ultimatum that she had given him in the end of their battle in Currents. Unbeknownst to her, Derek had sacrificed his Alpha spark to heal Cora of her mistletoe poisoning and was reverted to a Beta, which led him and Cora to drive away from Beacon Hills. Right after destroying the security system box, she was enraged when Derek was nowhere to be found and immediately demanded answers from Lydia as well as her packmate Ethan, who turned his back on Deucalion upon hearing from Marin Morrell that Deucalion was the true culprit behind the murder of Ennis. Kali made the fatal mistake of threatening Lydia, who was Aiden's then-girlfriend, and this led Aiden to growl at the toe-clawed Alpha menacingly as his way of a warning. Before Kali could kill Aiden for his supposed betrayal, Jennifer broke into the loft by jumping down from the skylight and landed safely on the ground. She stood up to her full height and addressed Aiden and Kali, "So... who wants to go first?"

Kali extended her claws and fangs and attempted to strike Jennifer with several kicks and claw swipes, which were all dodged by Jennifer, who managed to land a palm thrust at Kali and combined it with her telekinesis to send the Alpha flying away from her, causing her to fall to the ground in a heap. The twins tried to meld together into Voltron-Wolf, but Jennifer reacted quickly and grabbed their hands before pulling them apart and toward different sides of the room with her unbelievable superhuman strength that she had acquired from the three warrior sacrifices.

She noticed Kali slowly getting back up and slowly walked toward her. The toe-clawed Alpha performed a no-handed cartwheel and inadvertently allowed herself to be cornered by Jennifer. Once she had Kali right where she wanted, Jennifer encouraged her former Alpha to take a good look at her new face and went to ask Kali if she had any idea of the requirements to achieve a normal appearance following Kali's attack on her several years ago. Kali nonchalantly fired back that she did not care about it, and Jennifer declared, "It takes power. Power like this."

Jennifer focused on her telekinetic abilities and levitated multiple shards from the broken skylight into the air, a demonstration of power that visibly alarmed both Kali and Lydia, much to Jennifer's pleasure. The toe-clawed Alpha was struggling to catch her breath due to the strong wind from the thunderstorms that were raging above all those present in the room, which Jennifer briefly seemed to interpret as a possible apology. Although Kali admitted harboring remorse for what she did, she finally managed to scream, "I SHOULD HAVE RIPPED YOUR HEAD OFF!!!"

This infuriated Jennifer, who, without further ado, launched all of the shards of glass at Kali. Although she was empowered by the full moon, the shards impaled Kali from her head to her feet and she succumbed almost immediately to these wounds, collapsing on the ground. The twins were finally capable of merging into Voltron-Wolf and tried to take down Jennifer to avenge Kali as well as protect Lydia, though Jennifer ducked out of the way, grabbed their neck from behind and snapped it over her shoulder, before dropping the twins carelessly on the ground, much to Lydia's horror.

Jennifer managed to get Lydia to scream to bring Derek and Cora back to the loft so she could try yet-again to convince Derek to join her in a final showdown against Deucalion, to which Derek begrudgingly agreed for the sake of both Scott and the parents.

After she failed in taking out Deucalion during the fifteen-minute window of the lunar eclipse, Jennifer had her throat slashed by the "Demon-Wolf", but managed to crawl toward the Nemeton, where she hoped to survive by tapping into the power of Allison, Scott, and Stiles' surrogate sacrifice. However, Peter Hale stopped her from making contact with the Nemeton, though Jennifer bursted into dark laughter and revealed that now that Scott became an Alpha, Peter would be able to steal his rank for himself and become an Alpha again. Peter was impressed by Jennifer's ability to read his plans and clawed out her throat, killing her for good and bellowing, "I am the Alpha! I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE ALPHA!!!"
