- SCOTT: [voiceover] Previously on Teen Wolf...
- LIAM: Where are you going?
- MALIA: Paris!
- LIAM: Scott's leaving too.
- STILES: I'm here. I'm in Virginia.
- NATALIE: I have to run a school, and you have to go enroll in one.
- MONROE: I know that students have seen things that don't come up wth an easy explanation.
- LYDIA: I thought you couldn't kill a Hellhound.
- LYDIA: It's a fleur-de-lis.
- SCOTT: Argent.
BACKROADS/ BEACON HILLS ANIMAL CLINIC[]
[In a day of early morning, Theo is sleeping in the back of his truck with a sheet being used as pillow until a knocking noise wakes him up. He looks around to see where the noise came from and hears it again, causing him to look to the other side and realize it was from a hair-less police officer, who looks visibly disgruntled. Theo quickly realizes the cop is there to scold him for sleeping in a forbidden area so he gets up and raises his right hand in a manner to tell he accepts to get out of there and does not want trouble]
- THEO: Okay. Okay.
[Theo turns on his truck and moves to another place. At night, he is sleeping in the driver's seat but a dark-skinned cop finds him with a lamp and wakes him up by knocking on the window with it, leading Theo to do the same thing he did with the first cop]
- THEO: Yeah, okay, all right, all right.
[The cop forgives him and allows him to move but is visibly disappointed for Theo's lack of knowledge of the many policies in town and Theo turns on his vehicle, hits the accelerator pedal and moves to another place, which turns out to be a mattress junkyard. He stays awake in order to verify if any cop comes and forces him to move again but, after looking around for a long time, Theo believes he can sleep there so he lays down, covers himself with the sheet and falls asleep. Unbeknownst to him, a spider is seen on his window and apparently gets in]
[Next morning, Theo wakes up after another cop knocks on his window and moves again. However, next morning, another dark--skinned cop knocks on his window twice to wake him up and he, reluctantly, accepts to follow the cop's demands]
- THEO: Yeah.
[Theo moves once again and part of his truck's gas leaks out of the exhaust pipe as a result of the many times he was forced to move but his luck doesn't get better one bit in the next two mornings as 2 more cops show up and knock on his window, much to his displeasure]
- THEO: Come on!
[Theo moves yet again to another place but he is once again woken up in the next morning by another cop who forces him to move one more time]
[At night, Theo has fallen asleep as it seems he has found the perfect place to get a good night of sleep. The spider from a few nights earlier is crawling on his arm, causing him to wake up. Instead of scared, Theo looks interested and allows the spider to keep moving through his hand and suddenly, somehow, breaks through his skin and enters. Theo panics, wanting to know how the spider got in and starts tracking its movements around his arm and the shoulder]
[Theo breaks into BEACON HILLS ANIMAL CLINIC to get the spider out of his body. He opens a drawer, takes out a mirror and a scalpel and takes off his T-shirt before he turns on the lamp on the table. The spider is crawling on his lower back and, once he gets it where he wants with the help of the mirror, Theo stabs it forcefully and takes it out before his lower back's wound starts to heal. He looks closely at the spider until it bursts into a tiny black smoke cloud, which leads him to drop the scalpel in fear and surprise]
[Theo decides to call Scott to inform him of his experience and has his number "(415-555-0165)" but before he can call him, he ponders if calling Scott is a good idea since he wouldn't like to hear him. He hears another person knocking on his window but instead of being a cop, it is man with a gun pointed at him. Theo looks around and finds 3 more men with guns pointed at him. Realizing he is outnumbered and not wanting more trouble than he's already been through, Theo raises his hands in a non-threatening manner but the men shoot at him mercilessly]
TITLE CARD & OPENING CREDITS
BEACON HILLS PRESERVE[]
[Scott is running frantically for some reason as Gerard Argent's voice is heard, declaring war against all supernatural creatures of Beacon Hills in Omega, but he's not physically present]
- GERARD: [echoing] We find them. We kill them. We kill them all.
[The screen flashes back and forth between PRESENT TIME with Scott running through the woods and FLASHBACKS of his very first full moon in Wolf Moon (January 2011), whose are the moments he was looking for Allison in the woods by using his newly-gained werewolf senses, was blinded by one of Argent's arrow after attempting to escape following his confrontation with Derek over Allison's whereabouts and was shot in his right forearm by another arrow while he was recovering from the effects of the blinding arrow]
[In PRESENT DAY, Scott jumps over a fallen tree trunk and stops once Argent's voice is heard, but he's not physically present either, telling Scott something he learned in their dinner in Magic Bullet]
- ARGENT: [echoing] Did you know that a caged, rabid dog will break its own teeth trying to chew through the bars?
[Scott has 2 more memories that belong to his first full moon as well; the first one is Scott looking toward Argent and his men with his new werewolf vision and the second one is he reverting back to human form after being saved by Derek from the Hunters with only his Beta gold eyes remaining visible]
[In PRESENT DAY, Scott decides to keep running as Argent's voice is still heard, with Argent telling Scott about out-of-control animals]
- ARGENT: [echoing] Something out of control is better-off-dead.
[The scene cuts back and forth between flashbacks of Scott almost being captured by the Argent and his fellow Hunters and present. The screen shakes a little until suddenly Malia's voice is heard and the scene stops in present for good]
- MALIA: We can still catch him.
[Malia's voice makes Scott snap out of his trance and he turns to Malia and Lydia with a confused look]
- SCOTT: Catch who?
- MALIA: [frowns] The killer. What were you thinking about?
[Scott holds the bullet casing he, Lydia and Malia found next to Halwyn's body before telling Lydia and Malia his idea]
- SCOTT: Getting the bullet to Argent.
- MALIA: Even if he's the one who fired it?
[Scott looks at his Beta with absolute assurance of his plan]
- SCOTT: Especially if he's the one.
[Scott turns around to start walking but freezes in place with the sound of heartbeats that leave him concerned]
- SCOTT: Do you hear that?
[Malia, as a Werecoyote, is able to hear the same heartbeats Scott is hearing]
- MALIA: Heartbeats.
[Scott panics and breathes heavily at the number of heartbeats before he theorizes who could be close to them]
- SCOTT: A lot of them. They're coming.
- LYDIA: [confused] Who?
[Scott turns to the trees and his vision blurs a little, but he's able to notice people with a red light approaching. He becomes horrified as he believes they're who were in his flashbacks before turning to Lydia and Malia with an order for their protection]
- SCOTT: Hunters. Run!
[Scott turns to his front and runs with his unmatched werewolf speed to prevent the "Hunters" from harming the girls but Malia and Lydia, instead of obeying the order and wanting to understand better what's going on, start running after him while pleading him to slow down]
- MALIA: Scott, wait. Scott!
[Scott ignores Malia's pleas to slow down and keeps running at top speed to the point he's able to lose Malia and Lydia but he turns back and sees the people with the red light coming after him but he keeps running until he stops and freezes in place once he realizes he's surrounded by dozens of people holding dozens of laser-red rifles pointed to his chest and torso]
[Scott tries to look for a way out but ends up with no success. With no other choice but to fight, he wolfs-out and growls at the "Hunters" menacingly before he catches his sight on the closest man to him and tackles him, causing both of them roll on the ground. Once the man's face is shown, he is Sheriff Stilinski but Scott, blinded by his senses, keeps attacking him]
- SHERIFF: Scott. Scott, it's me. It's me! Scott! Scott.
[Scott finally comes back to himself and realizes he's above the Sheriff before he looks at his chest, which has a gun pointed to it by the Sheriff in case he needed to shoot him. Scott looks embarassed, horrified and guilty that he attacked and could have killed his best friend's father and looks at the "Hunters", who were deputies after all, with his Alpha eyes before they turn back to their normal brown. Sheriff calms Scott down as he is concerned he could have been exposed as werewolf to the other deputies]
- SHERIFF: Okay, okay. Come on. It's okay. It's okay. Everybody, stay back. It's just a kid.
[A female deputy named Deputy Vargas seems to have noticed Scott's red eyes before they disappeared, which makes her suspicious]
- VARGAS: [confused] What's wrong with his eyes?
[Parrish stands in front of Vargas to prevent the Sheriff from exposing Scott's supernatural identity before saying the Sheriff's order to her in a hard tone]
- PARRISH: You heard the Sheriff, stand down!
[Deputy Vargas follows Parrish's order and stands down to avoid getting in trouble. Seconds later, Malia and Lydia arrive, panting in exhaustion from attempting to catch up with Scott, who has fully reverted to his human self now and gives his friends a melancholy and remorseful look. Later, Scott, Lydia and Malia have taken the Sheriff, Parrish and the other deputies to the place they found Halwyn's body and while the other deputies search the area for clues, Scott apologizes to the Sheriff for assaulting him]
- SCOTT: I'm really sorry.
[Sheriff accepts the apology but Scott still looks worried that he might have been exposed and turns to Parrish, hoping he says something good to relieve him]
- SCOTT: You don't think they saw anything, do you?
[Parrish is crouched down examining Halwyn's body with a lamp before he turns it off, stands up and gives Scott a good point of his]
- PARRISH: No more than they're used to.
- SHERIFF: [curiously] You wanna tell me what happened here?
- PARRISH: [pointing to Halwyn's body] He's a Hellhound.
[Malia gives Sheriff a depressed look that indicates she feels sorry for Halwyn's death before giving the current fact]
- MALIA: A dead Hellhound.
[Sheriff looks at them totally untransfixed by this discovery while nodding in comprehension]
- SHERIFF: Yep, got that.
[Unlike Sheriff, who is unsurprised with this occurence, Parrish looks completely taken aback that one of his kind has been killed]
- PARRISH: Well, I don't get it. I didn't think you could kill a Hellhound.
[Malia looks at everybody, surprised by what they just unearthed as well]
- MALIA: Looks a lot easier than we thought.
[An awkward silence occurs for a brief time until the Sheriff moves his head to his right with a look of interest]
- SHERIFF: You got anything you wanna add?
[Scott hides the bullet casing he and his friends found in his pocket as Malia and Lydia are expecting he'll say the truth but he only gives the Sheriff his opinion of the bullet that killed Halwyn]
- SCOTT: Yeah I don't think it was just any bullet.
[Sheriff looks intrigued by this brand new information and Parrish crouches down and looks at Halwyn's body with a frown of worry]
- PARRISH: I hope not.
MCCALL HOUSE[]
[Malia, Lydia and Scott arrive at the McCall house through Malia's Toyota. Scott takes off his belt and Lydia wastes no time in asking him his reasons for staying quiet]
- LYDIA: [sighs] Why didn't you say anything?
[Scott avoids giving answers by giving Lydia a look of enquiry]
- SCOTT: Why didn't you say anything?
[Malia looks at both Scott and Lydia with a questioning look]
- MALIA: Why didn't either of you say anything? Wait, was I supposed to say something?
- SCOTT: None of us said anything because of Argent, and none of us are going to say anything until we talk to him. Everybody good with that?
[Lydia and Malia look uncertain of Scott's idea but eventually accept with one condition]
- LYDIA: As long as we talk to Argent soon. Immediately, would be preferable.
- MALIA: [unclearly] Premonition?
- LYDIA: [sarcastically] Yeah. The one with the screaming, and people killing each other?
- SCOTT: First we find Argent.
[Scott exits Malia's car before he enters his house]
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Next day, in the Boys' locker room, Mason is talking to Liam, who is getting ready for lacrosse drills, about what could be the new creature that has been responsible for last days' events]
- MASON: [apprehensively] I was saying that if we're talking about some sort of mythical creature that's so powerful the only safe place to put it is in the Wild Hunt, then we have a serious problem.
[Liam doesn't look anxious as Mason as he's focusing his mind only on lacrosse]
- LIAM: Can we figure it out while I'm running drills? Brett's meeting me to help the freshmen that wanna make First Line.
[Upon hearing Brett's name, Mason looks at Liam suspiciously and seriously while he points his index finger at him for emphasis to what he's about to say]
- MASON: Brett?
[Mason then changes his serious expression to an attractive one]
- MASON: Incredibly hot Brett with the eight-pack abs?
- LIAM: [scoffs] Pretty sure his name is just Brett.
- MASON: He has an eight-pack. Do you, do you know how hard it is for the human body to have an eight-pack? God.
[Mason imagines what would be like to have an eight-pack abs while Liam stares at him blankly. Once Mason comes back to Earth, he looks confused by what his best friend meant]
- MASON: [stutters] Wait, why is he helping you?
- LIAM: I couldn't get anyone else to volunteer.
[Mason turns around and looks at all other lacrosse players, who are also getting ready for drills, before he sees where Liam is going with his last statement]
- MASON: Well. Yeah, that's because there's no way any of 'em are gonna make First Line. I mean, no one does before junior year.
[Liam grimaces, clearly he's little hurt by what Mason just said but reminds his best friend he and Scott were exceptions]
- LIAM: Scott did and so did I.
[Mason is amused upon hearing this counter as though Liam is bragging that he made First Line fair and square before he mentions the trick that allowed Liam to do so]
- MASON: Yeah, with little supernatural help.
[Liam gets ready to run drills but after he closes his locker, Aaron, one of the players, appears right in front of them, startling them. Aaron looks happy and smiles at Liam gratefully]
- AARON: Thanks for the gear, Liam. And the drills and the chance, you know.
[Aaron's smile fades away and he becomes glum as he begins to believe he won't be able to make First Line]
- AARON: Even if there really isn't one.
[Mason, in an attempt to boost his self-confidence and motivation, gives him an advice]
- MASON: Unless you practice. Like, today. I mean, you could totally have a shot at making First Line.
- LIAM: Okay, whatever.
[Mason starts encouraging the other players as Liam has ran out of patience to wait]
- MASON: Yeah. No, you all do, seriously. You guys could do it, seriously.
- LIAM: Come on.
[Liam lifts Mason with his werewolf super-strength and puts him over his shoulder but Mason doesn't care about it and keeps encouraging the other lacrosse players]
- MASON: I've seen you guys out there, you guys are gonna kill it. Go Cyclones!
- LIAM: [loudly] See you all on the field.
- MASON: Go lacrosse! Yay, sports!
[Liam has put Mason down and the two of them run their way to the lacrosse field but they run into Tamora Monroe, who presents them with opening forms to talk with her]
- MONROE: There you are! I've got openings tomorrow, if you're willing to talk, of course.
- LIAM: [stutters] Well, I don't have anything to talk about.
[Mason places his hand in Liam's shoulder and remarks the opposite to Mrs. Monroe]
- MASON: He has a lot to talk about.
[Monroe, agreeing with Mason, tries to convince Liam he can speak everything he wants with her]
- MONROE: We all have things to talk about, Liam. You don't wanna start senoir year with any heavy burden on your shoulders, do you? How about 2:00 PM, tomorrow?
[To avoid speaking with his new guidance counselor, Liam gives a reasonable excuse]
- LIAM: Well, that's my study period.
- MONROE: [smiles] Which is why I suggested it? Just take the form and think about it, okay? Hope to see you tomorrow. Remember, I have an open door policy.
[Liam takes the form and heads to the lacrosse field as Monroe enters in her office. However, her smile falls off her face when she notices a large hunting knife stuck into her desk and then she turns her attention to her white board, which has a message written with red marker: "OPPORTUNITES MULTIPLY AS THEY ARE SEIZED". Mason notices it]
- MASON: Sun Tzu? I love Sun Tzu. I mean, the strategy parts, not the "unfathomable plans" parts, but all his writings on the serenity of leaders--
- MONROE: [interrupts] --Sorry Mason. I've got an appointement.
[Monroe closes her office's door, leaving Mason alone in the hallway. She slowly walks toward her desk and then wonders who could have written the message on her board. She grabs the knife and, after a little effort, manages to remove it and looks shockingly and curiously at it]
[At the Boys' locker room, the other players are leaving to get to the lacrosse field]
- PLAYER: Come on, Aaron, let's go.
[Little spiders of the same kind as the one that Theo saw earlier in the episode are heading towards Aaron's lacrosse helmet and penetrate in it. Aaron picks it up and puts it on but before he can leave, he feels itchiness and starts scratching his face. He tries to remove his lacrosse helmet but is unable to]
- AARON: Hey.
[Aaron falls to his knees and keeps scratching his face, but in the end, he screams in agony as the spiders crawl in his face and mouth]
BEACON COUNTY SHERIFF'S STATION[]
[Parrish slides his card on a cell's lock and Lydia is next to him as she wants him to help her recognize the sound she heard in her premonition's mindspace in the previous episode]
- PARRISH: Is that it? The sound you heard?
- LYDIA: No, it's something else.
[The two walk into the bullpen where many deputies are working on several different cases and Parrish sits on his desk as he begins to mention many possible places]
- PARRISH: It could be any kind of public facility. hospital, a fire station, or...
[Before Parrish can mention another place, Lydia experiences FLASHBACKS of everything that happened to her while she was catatonic in Eichen House before returning to present and giving Parrish another possible place]
- LYDIA: Or a mental institution.
[Parrish looks to his right, completely unenthusiastic as he knows perfectly the place Lydia is referring to]
- PARRISH: Don't say it.
[Lydia ignores Parrish's call and mentions the name]
- LYDIA: Eichen House.
[Parrish looks iffy about Lydia's claims]
- PARRISH: The card readers on the doors?
- LYDIA: It's the Closed Unit.
- PARRISH: [grimly] You're not going back to Eichen, and you're definetely not going anywhere near the Closed Unit.
[Lydia, determined to get answers for last days' events, attempts to persuade Parrish]
- LYDIA: What if there's a connection to the... [whispering] dead Hellhound?
[Parrish, visibly concerned about Lydia's well being, uses the events of A Novel Approach and Lie Ability as arguments against the suggestion]
- PARRISH: What if you go there again and someone tries to kill you? Which, by the way, happens every time you go in there!
[Lydia rolls her eyes in annoyance, as though Parrish believes she can't take care of herself but remains intransigent]
- LYDIA: [insistently] It's our only lead.
- PARRISH: [sternly] I'm not letting you near that place.
- LYDIA: [undeterred] Then you come with me.
[However, Parrish detests the second idea as well and grabs his jacket]
- PARRISH: Or... I can go alone.
[Parrish leaves the department and heads to Eichen House as Lydia rolls her eyes in frustration for not being able to convince Parrish to take her with him]
ARGENT BUNKER[]
[Scott examines Argent's bullet casings so he can compare them to the one he and his friends found as Malia paces around the bunker]
- MALIA: [flabbergasted] He's not answering our calls or texts, he's not home, he's not here. I mean, maybe Argent just doesn't wanna be found?
[Scott sighs like in defeat but notices Argent's laptop and it gives him a bright clue]
- SCOTT: Well, he-He would have his calendar on his laptop. If we crack the password.
[Upon hearing Scott's suggestion, Malia stays with a surprised and pleased expression]
- MALIA: I didn't think you had it in you.
[Malia sits down and opens Argent's laptop. She starts thinking of what could be the password until getting one while Scott paces around the bunker]
- MALIA: Gun.
[Malia types in "Gun" but once she tries to access Argent's calendar, it says "PASSWORD FAILED" and she guesses another possible password]
- MALIA: Lots of guns.
[Malia types in "Lots of guns" but her second attempt ends up in failure just like the first one but she doesn't give up and is quick in finding another possible password]
- MALIA: Hunter.
[Malia types in "Hunter" but she fails once again, only then she realizes that the password she just typed in wasn't be the correct one after all]
- MALIA: No, no, it's definitely not "hunter". I mean, 'cause why would it be hunter because Argent's not even a hunter anymore, so I mean, there's not even hunters for werewolves at all anymore, right? So why would anybody think that there was a hunter in the woods when it was actually just deputies?
[Scott wasn't listening to what Malia was saying, again, as he was more concentrated and curious over what is inside a crate in front of him but realizes Malia was saying something and turns to her]
- SCOTT: [absent-mindedly] What?
[Malia, ignored by her Alpha, acts like she didn't say anything at all and looks at him blankly]
- MALIA: Nothing.
[Scott uses his super-strength to break the crate's lock, opens the crate and discovers it contains packed-up guns, each of them have tags that indicate their model, price and make, leading him to realize something shocking as Malia ends failing in discovering the password yet again]
- SCOTT: Uh, Malia, I, I don't think that Argent took off from Beacon Hills. I think he's back in business.
[Scott walks toward a furnishing, opens one of its drawers and takes out a crossbow, similar to the one his ex-girlfriend Allison used to use when hunting, causing Scott's eyes to widen in realization once he realizes what Argent used to be his password]
- SCOTT: I think I know what his password is.
[Scott puts the crossbow where it belongs and Malia allows him to write the password he has in mind. Scott taps "ALL...", as Argent chose his daughter's name to be his password, similar to how Scott did before]
EICHEN HOUSE[]
[Parrish has arrived at Eichen House and meets up with Dr. Conrad Fenris, who is perfectly aware of Halwyn as he shows photos of him to Parrish]
- FENRIS: Course, I know him. It's Halwyn. He almost killed me, and burned an orderly to death in the process.
- PARRISH: He was a patient?
[Dr. Fenris slides his key card on the card reader in order to open the gate in front of them, allowing them to enter before he closes the gate and starts revealing Halwyn's past life]
- FENRIS: Until he checked out.
[Parrish looks impressed and surprised with what he's hearing right now]
- PARRISH: Checked out. You can do that?
- FENRIS: When you build the place, you can. He did in 1912, so he would always have a room.
[Parrish looks surprised once again because of the age Halwyn's vessel had until he was killed]
- PARRISH: 1912? That would make over 100 years old.
- FENRIS: No one knew his actual age.
[Parrish looks at Fenris inquiringly as the two of them arrive at another gate]
- PARRISH: And he's been here the whole time?
- FENRIS: In a state of hibernation. In case it got out.
[Parrish doesn't understand what the Doctor meant with "it", which inquires him]
- PARRISH: [confused] It? What's "it"?
[Fenris looks at Parrish with a face as though if to say "I wouldn't go for it"]
- FENRIS: I never asked.
[Dr. Fenris tries to turn on the lights of the hallway in front of them but the lights don't turn on, causing Dr. Fenris to wonder and suspect]
- FENRIS: That's odd.
[Dr. Fenris searches in his coat pocket and takes out his key card to investigate the hallway's lights but before he can slide the card on the card reader to open the gate, wind is blowing and drops of water fall, leading the Doctor to realize]
- FENRIS: Something's wrong.
[From somewhere in the hallway, a faint female voice is heard pleading for help]
- FEMALE PATIENT: [weakly] Help me. Please. Help me. Please.
- PARRISH: [urgently] What are you waiting for? Hurry!
- FEMALE PATIENT: [weakly] There's something here.
[Dr. Fenris, having had enough and possibly overborne by something's influence, takes a drastic decision]
- FENRIS: I'm locking this unit down.
- PARRISH: You need to open the gate.
[Dr. Fenris looks so agitated he repudiates Parrish's comission and speaks to him in a rough manner]
- FENRIS: [impertinently] If you think I'm opening this up, then you belong in there.
[Dr. Fenris is about to close the unit down with his key card until Parrish stops him by grabbing his hand and his eyes blaze Hellhound reddish-orange before he reiterates his order in a firm voice]
- PARRISH: Open the gate.
[Dr. Fenris becomes uneasy with Parrish's Hellhound eyes but, reluctantly, opens the gate and allows him to search for the patient that is begging for help. However, Fenris closes the gate and runs away, causing Parrish to look back and wonder why the Doctor would do so but he shrugs it off and keep searching for the female patient with the help of a lamp]
LACROSSE FIELD[]
[Brett just scores and his friends applaud him as he looks at the other players cockily]
- BRETT: [smugly] Oh! That's called a perfect hitch.
[Liam sighs and rolls his eyes before heading back to defense as does Brett, who passes smiling because of his abilities. Brett takes the ball and manages to easily pass through Liam and again, causing his friends to applaud him even more]
- BRETT: Perfect split dodge.
[Liam hits himself in the helmet with his lacrosse stick in order to psych himself up. Brett scoops the ball and Liam this time is able to put himself in front of Brett but Brett hits Liam's shoulder with his own so hard that both Liam and his stick fall to the ground and Brett scores yet again, leaving Liam disappointed on his poor performances]
- BRETT: Perfect rocker.
[Liam stands up and turns to the freshman students playing, and demonstrates his ability of being a future captain by being decisive]
- LIAM: Just remember to cover your back, especially if your opponent's a dick.
[Brett looks at Liam doubtful that he has the necessary skills to replace Scott as the new team's captain]
- BRETT: You got some pretty big cleats to fill with Scott leaving. You ready for all this?
[Liam tries to convince Brett he's prepared by reporting the progress he's made]
- LIAM: I managed all summer.
- BRETT: Summer's over.
[Brett takes the ball and Liam is not only pushed to the ground but is also bowled because of the force he used to lunge toward Brett, allowing hteƧ atter to score again, leaving Brett's friends dazzled. Liam punches the ground in frustration and anger before heading back to his position as Brett does so, who giggles in amusement. Mason and Lori just arrive at the stands to watch the drills while the former comments Corey's summer work on lacrosse]
- MASON: Corey's been training all summer to play goalie. He's actually gotten really good.
[Brett shoots the ball and Corey tries to defend but he not only misses the shot but falls to the ground. After witnessing the opposite of what Mason said, Lori tries to give him some encouragement]
- LORILEE: The season doesn't start for at least a week.
[Mason shakes his head, disillusioned with Corey's summer work]
- MASON: Thank God.
[Brett runs toward the goal with the ball and Liam puts himself in front of Brett and the two play what looks like to be a game of chicken but Brett pushes Liam back with his superior strength until they reach Corey and the three of them fall piled up inside the goal, staggering everybody in the stands, including Mason, who is incredibly appalled by this unexpected play]
- MASON: Um, was that Liam, Brett, or Corey?
- LORILEE: I think that was all of them.
- MASON: [crushed] Oh.
[Brett gets up and looks at Liam disappointedly as he expected better from the future captain while the latter glares at him as though this was the last drop]
- BRETT: You're losing it, dude.
[Brett moves back to his position and Liam does so too. But it is more than clear his anger is reaching its limits and his left hand's claws extend and bore through the glove's tips. Liam grabs the ball forcefully before throwing it to Brett and putting himself in a defensive stance with a look of intense determination in proving his skills to Brett and firmly grabs his lacrosse stick to the point he uses his superhuman strength to twist the stick's metal shaft. Brett scoops the ball and it's revealed that the ball possesses marks from Liam's claws]
[Brett runs toward Liam, who gets under him and flips him over, inducing Brett's friends to gasp in shock. Suddenly, Liam, blinded by his rage, takes the ball and heads toward his own team's goal while growling and panting simultaneously. Corey becomes nonplussed by this unexpectancy and terrified of what Liam could do and Liam shoots the ball with incredible force toward Corey's head but he ducks right before the ball could hit him, allowing Liam to score for Brett and tearing a giant hole in the goal]
[Brett stands up to his feet and runs toward Liam. He looks surprised but satisfied that Liam's attitude is exactly the same from when he used to attend Devenford Prep with Brett]
- BRETT: [mockingly] There he is. That's the IED I know. What's it stand for? Intermittent Explosive Disorder? What's it gonna take for you to explode, Liam?
[Liam has clearly no patience to hear Brett's comments about his IED and attempts to walk away with his irises glowing gold but Brett stops him, indicating that he's concerned about Liam's anger and about the innocent people that could get harmed from it, and looks at him in the eyes direly]
- BRETT: I'm trying to help you. You're not in control, and if you don't fix it, someone's gonna get hurt.
[Liam, staring at his fellow Werewolf with his golden eyes and considering his words, gets out of the field to calm himself down]
PARKING LOT/ LACROSSE FIELD[]
[Monroe uses her car keys to open her car but she notices a lacrosse ball on the floor, picks it up and the ball is the one Liam marked with his claws. She looks toward the lacrosse field intriguingly where Brett launches another ball at Corey and Corey defends by catching it with his stick but is thrown backwards because of the force Brett threw the ball at him. Brett removes his lacrosse helmet, revealing his face to Monroe unintentionally and smiles smugly as Corey looks at him with a mix of pain and embarassment after the last shot]
- COREY: I'm not actually invisible right now, am I?
[Brett puts his helmet back on and helps Corey get back up. Monroe notes that Brett has powerful skills beyond human capacity and looks at him suspicious and interested, indicating he is Monroe's next target after Halwyn]
EICHEN HOUSE[]
[Parrish keeps walking down the hallway in search for the patient with his lamp]
- PARRISH: This is Deputy Parrish with the Beacon Hills Sheriff's Department. Is anybody in here?
- FEMALE PATIENT: [faintly] It's in here.
[Parrish turns to his right and finds a room as it appears to be where the female patient's voice comes from. He opens the door and discovers dead people all over the shower room but the female patient that was heard is still alive]
- FEMALE PATIENT: There's something in here.
- PARRISH: Where are you?
[He turns to his left and finds the female patient laying on her back next to an already dead patient]
- FEMALE PATIENT: Help me.
[Before Parrish can reach her, she is shocked by the electrical current, which causes him to urgently rush to her]
- FEMALE PATIENT: Ahhh!
[Parrish discovers a cable was cut and the wet floor is conducting the electricity from the electrical current]
- FEMALE PATIENT: It's here.
- PARRISH: What's here?
[The female patient looks to her left and becomes somewhat horrified once Dr. Fenris comes in]
- PARRISH: We have to get her out.
- FENRIS: Why would I do that? I'm the one that put her here.
[Suddenly, Dr. Fenris grabs the electric cable and coldly jabs it into Parrish's chest, weakening him so much he falls sideways nearly uncounscious]
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Night has come. Liam has arrived to the Boys' locker room and drops his lacrosse equipment before he leans against his locker and begins to speak his mantra]
- LIAM: [panting] The sun. The moon. The truth.
[Liam's anger keeps rising and rising and his fangs come out as a result]
- LIAM: [growling] The sun, the moon.
[He gets so frustrated to the point he starts punching his own locker's door with both his fists, one each time as he keeps repeating the mantra word by word]
- LIAM: The sun! The moon! The moon!
[He backs away and pants in exhaustion as it seems he has calmed down. His locker's door is full of fist marks and he looks horrified with what he just did because of his uncontrolled rage]
CITY MARKET-- DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES[]
[Argent is talking to a soldier named Harper and 4 more soldiers while doing a gun deal]
- ARGENT: Major Delane is my contact at Camp Robertson. I'm surprised he didn't tell me about the change in protocol.
- HARPER: Well, the Major got promoted and was promptly shipped overseas.
- ARGENT: Huh? Didn't know the Army worked that fast.
- HARPER: [chuckles] They do when they want to.
[Argent figures out that Harper isn't aware of what the Major is before correcting him and demanding answers]
- ARGENT: The Major's not Army, he's a Marine. Who sent you? Who's buying all this weaponry?
- HARPER: We don't need to have a situation.
- ARGENT: We already do. See, I don't sell to weekend warriors. You want these guns, you'll answer my question.
[Harper and his fellow militaries decline to answer any of Argent's questions by showing their uncooperativity and obduracy]
- HARPER: We're taking the guns, and the ammo, and the crates.
[Harper and his comrades point their guns at Argent threateningly but he doesn't seem panicked at all but unimpressed and disdains the militaries]
- ARGENT: If you knew anything about guns, you'd know they're not loaded.
[Harper and his comrades load their rifles, prompting Argent to look unnerved. They point their rifles at him again]
- HARPER: We brought our own.
[Argent is no longer alarmed as he smirks in satisfaction]
- ARGENT: And I always have a backup plan.
[Scott and Malia arrive and she knocks out a man, causing Harper and his comrades to point their weapons at them alarmed while Argent looks confused and shocked with his allies' sudden presence]
- ARGENT: What the hell are you guys doing here?
- SCOTT: We're your backup.
[Argent looks at both Scott and Malia with a mixture of disappointment and exasperation for interfering in this situation]
- ARGENT: I had a guy on the inside.
- MALIA: [dubious] Who?
- ARGENT: You're standing on him.
[Scott and Malia both look down and realize they screwed up by knocking out the man that was supposed to help Argent. Malia gets her foot off of him and Argent makes another smirk of satisfaction before he presses a button and addresses Scott and Malia]
- ARGENT: Get down!
[Argent and Scott shift to behind some crates while Malia hides behind a wall and it turns out that Argent pressed the button of making the lights of the market to go out as Harper and his comrades shoot at where the three are hiding. Argent realizes his "inside man" is still on the floor uncounscious and nods at Malia to get him out of the way but Malia nods in disagreement and smiles as if to say "No way.", making Argent exasperated. Scott nods at her in order to convince her and she sighs and rolls her eyes peeved but agrees to save Argent's man]
[Argent gets out of his hiding place and shoots back at Harper and his comrades with his two handguns once their clips are exhausted so Malia can drag Argent's contact by the arm to safety, behind one of the crates. Argent goes back to hiding and Scott leaves his hiding place to sneak behind one of the soldiers and knocks him out by grabbing him by the left shoulder and throwing him to the ground. Malia approaches another soldier and kicks him in his right leg before she pushes him to the ground, knocking him out]
[Harper reaches to Malia and points his rifle at her, causing Scott to stop dead in his tracks. Before she can be killed, Argent points his gun to Harper's neck's nape before demanding answers for the weaponry once more]
- ARGENT: Who are the guns for?
[Harper drops his weapon to the ground, hinting he's about to surrender and answer Argent's question, but he reaches and drops a grenade to the ground. Malia, Argent and Scott realize what's going to happen next and take cover to avoid being injured and as a result, the grenade blows up and the explosion covers the entire room in smoke. Once all smoke vanishes, the three discover Harper used the explosion to get into his car and he makes his get away. Argent looks at Malia and Scott in dissatisfaction for getting involved in his plan without being called but maintains a calm demeanor]
- ARGENT: For the record, I had everything under control.
- MALIA: [sheepishly] Clearly.
[Argent looks at Malia and Scott inquisitively]
- ARGENT: How did you find me?
- MALIA: [pointing at Scott] He did it.
- SCOTT: [sighs] You left your computer in the bunker.
- ARGENT: [awkwardly] Ah. I guess I need a new password.
EICHEN HOUSE[]
[Dr. Fenris is dragging a weakened Parrish to Halwyn's old cell while telling him something he learned with the supernatural patients]
- FENRIS: You know, I go home everynight, thinking to myself I survived another day in that place. Then I come back every morning to protect people like me from things like you.
[Dr. Fenris drops Parrish in the cell's floor and locks the cell as he keeps revealing his lesson]
- FENRIS: Then I realized we shouldn't be caging them, we should be killing them, eradicating them to protect the rest of us.
[Parrish stands up to his feet, hits the door with his hand palms and allows his Hellhound self surface briefly as his eyes glow reddish-orange again and speaks to Dr. Fenris in a very deep voice as he censures the Doctor's attempts to imprison him]
- CERBERUS: [sneers] You don't have a cell in here that can hold me.
[Dr. Fenris doesn't seem discouraged but confident over his supernatural knowledge to cage the unwary Parrish/Cerberus]
- FENRIS: Deputy, you're not our first Hellhound.
[Dr. Fenris touches the temperature dial of the cell and puts it in the cold zone. Parrish returns to human and watches cooling gas coming out from every side as it coats the entire cell]
- FENRIS: Human body is 60% water. Even you can freeze solid, Deputy Parrish.
[Parrish looks horrified that Fenris is smarter than him and shouldn't have doubted of him and his talents]
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Brett uses his keys to open his car, ready to go home. He guards his lacrosse equipment in the trunk, minus his lacrosse stick before Monroe shows up and calls his attention as she holds up the lacrosse ball she found earlier]
- MONROE: I think you dropped this. I saw you playing. You're something else, aren't you?
[Brett appreciates Monroe's accolades on his lacrosse skills before he answers her question confidently]
- BRETT: Something like that, yeah.
[Monroe returns the ball to Brett by throwing it. He touches the ball and frowns once he sees purple smoke coming out from the claw marks in the ball, which makes him collapse and fall on his stomach on the ground as the purple smoke is actually powdered purple Wolfsbane, one of Brett's Werewolf weaknesses. Monroe slowly walks toward him with a seemingly apologetic expression as he gathers enough strength to put himself in a seated postion before she drops her guise and reveals her true nature]
- MONROE: I'm sorry. I should've told you. It's wolfsbane.
BEACON COUNTY SHERIFF'S STATION[]
[Lydia is sat and waiting for Parrish to come back. Her phone rings, with a message saying "Last day to register for MIT Today, 6:00 PM". She puts her phone down and starts listening radio feedback that causes her to frown in concern but she looks to her left and discovers that a female deputy is putting her walkie-talkie charging]
[She leaves as the station's phone rings before it is attended and Lydia, without the other deputies' permission, walks toward the charging walkie-talkie. Once confirming nobody is looking at her, she picks up the walkie-talkie and it produces even more static until Lydia raises the volume but nothing more than louder static just comes out. Lydia looks at the other deputies but they don't seem to notice her so she keys the mic and nervously speaks]
- LYDIA: Hello.
- FENRIS: [echoing] Even you can freeze solid, Deputy Parrish. We should be killing them.
- PARRISH: Wait!
[Lydia immediately realizes Parrish could be in trouble in Eichen House]
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Brett is still seated on the ground, weakened by the wolfsbane as Monroe begins to reveal her intetions to mistreat him]
- MONROE: I have nothing against you personally.
[Monroe breaks Brett's lacrosse stick's net with her foot and points it to him as she begins menacing him]
- MONROE: But you don't deserve to have this much power. You don't deserve to terrify people.
[Brett, who is starting to bleed black blood from the wolfsbane, glowers at her with despise. Monroe torments Brett by stabbing him in the chest with the pointy end of the stick, removes it and socks it across his forehead. Monroe is clearly awestruck when she sees by Brett's healing power until she drops the stick to the floor]
- MONROE: [amazedly] That's incredible!
[She holds up the large knife she found in her office, ready to make her second supernatural kill in cold-blood]
- MONROE: No one should be able to do that.
[Monroe tries to stab Brett with the knife but he, having recovered enough, partially-shifts, dodges the blow and scratches Monroe's neck with his claws before he escapes. Monroe touches her bloody neck marks and gasps in pain before looking around and noticing Brett is gone]
CITY MARKET-- DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES[]
[Argent is guarding his stuff in his car as he reveals to Scott and Malia his motives for being absent lately]
- ARGENT: I haven't been avoiding you. I've been busy. Business is booming, and I'd like to know why.
- SCOTT: Have you made any unusual sales recently?
[Argent, clearly not undersanding what Scott means, looks at Malia curiously, who gives him a look of query and suspicion in return]
- MALIA: Like a bullet with a fleur-de-lis?
[Argent is stunned with this mention for a moment before he assures his allies of one thing]
- ARGENT: I haven't stamped a bullet since Allison died.
[Scott proceeds to explain to Argent what happened during his absence]
- SCOTT: Someone just killed a Hellhound with one.
[Argent looks surprised by this news]
- ARGENT: Can I see the casing?
[Scott nods in agreement. He searches for the casing in his pocket but he can't find it, leading him to turn around and realize he lost it while fighting Harper and the soldiers. Malia shoots at him a shocked look when she realizes he lost it too and Scott nods his head in defeat]
- SCOTT: [repentantly] It must have fallen out.
- ARGENT: You don't need the casing, you need the slug. Find that, and you'll find your killer.
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Liam is attempting to fix his locker's door full of fist marks but it seems to be taking a hard time and he accidentally hits his forehead in the door, groaning in pain from it. After recovering, he takes out the counseling request form that was given to him by Monroe this morning and starts considering he might have something to talk about with her: his anger issues. He senses Mason and Corey approaching but is able to cover up what he did to his locker's door by pretending to be tying his sneakers and playing cool once they come in]
- LIAM: Hey guys. What are you doing here?
- COREY: Just looking for you.
- MASON: History test tomorrow? We need to study.
[Corey realizes that Liam's locker is without a door when he leans his hand against it as Liam, still playing cool, is hiding it under the bench he's sitting on]
- LIAM: Yeah, right. That's probably a good idea since I have no idea what it's on.
- COREY: It's on Mussolini and the role of fear-baiting in the rise of fascism. We can study together.
- LIAM: Yeah, can we take the test together?
[Corey smiles playfully and Mason notices something that freezes him in terror]
- MASON: Hey. Guys.
[Corey and Liam look toward what Mason is seeing and discover a trail of blood starting from the bench Liam is sat on right now. Liam gets up from the bench, the three follow the trail of blood and next to it, they find lacrosse equipment on the floor. Once they reach the showers, they find a lacrosse helmet and Liam turns to his left, only to discover a skinless-flayed body that stupefies the three]
EICHEN HOUSE[]
[Lydia drives to Eichen House in order to find out what happened to Parrish. She exits her car and walks toward the entrance's open gate and despite the fact she has nearly died there, she goes in but shivers a little with fear by the clanging sound of the gate closing. She looks toward the institution and, with no absolute fear, goes look for Parrish]
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Mason, Corey and Liam meet in the entrance hall after having tried to find their fellow lacrosse players as they believe one of them could have been attacked and killed, but it seems they couldn't reach a single one of them]
- MASON: Library's empty.
- COREY: Gym too.
- LIAM: Aaron is the only one I can't get a hold of.
- MASON: [unsettledly] Anyone check the parking lot? See if his car's still there?
[Liam, Mason and Corey rush to the parking lot to check if Aaron's car is there]
EICHEN HOUSE[]
[In HALWYN'S CELL, Dr. Fenris opens the door, holding a gun in his hands as he begins speaking to Parrish, who is being literally frozen by the cell's cold temperature]
- FENRIS: As a doctor, I've never liked guns. I've always believed there were far better ways to solve our problems. I guess I'm having a crisis of faith.
[Parrish gulps nervously at the possibility of dying at Fenris' hands as he shivers in the cold cell]
[Meanwhile, Lydia has managed to make the CLOSED UNIT through guidance from her phone's light and finds its gate semi-opened. She opens the gate a little more, goes in and shouts to verify if somebody can hear her]
- LYDIA: Hello?
[Nobody answers her and suddenly, another clanging sound spooks Lydia, she looks back and sees the gate closed by itself before her voice is heard in a FLASHBACK of The Last Chimera of her speaking to Gabriel Valack and all we can see in the memory is her blood in a piece of toilet paper after Valack drilled a hole in her head]
- LYDIA: [weakly] Why'd pick me?
[Lydia slowly turns to the dark hall as the screen flashes back and forth between present and flashbacks/memories of everything Lydia had been through in Eichen House from The Last Chimera to Lie Ability; the first memory is Valack drilling a hole in Lydia's head, the second one is her looking at him weakly in her room and the third one is her catatonic body laying on her room's bed and staring at the ceiling. When she begins to walk slowly through the darkened hall, she shivers with fright just after she hears electricity crackling]
- LYDIA: [falters] J-Jordan?
[As Lydia keeps walking down the hall, the screen, again, flashes back and forth between present and 4 final flashbacks/memories of Lydia in Eichen House; the first one is her being attacked and tased by half-dozen guards after trying, in vain, to break out of Eichen House in The Sword and the Spirit, the second one is her walking down the same hall catatonically, the third one is her stripped to the exam chair in the old basement room in Lie Ability and the fourth and final one is Valack showing her the old Dread Doctor Mask he intended to use on her in order to uncover the Beast of Gevaudan's host's identity in the same episode. Lydia, panicked, runs back to the gate and tries to open it but it seems locked as her heartbeat rate rises]
- LYDIA: [hysterically] Hello? Hello?
[Lydia desperately keeps trying to open the locked gate and hyperventilates but she is able to calm down and begins to hear Fenris, the female patient and Parrish's voices echoing in her head once her anxious heartbeat has returned to a normally-slow beat]
- FEMALE PATIENT: It's here.
- FENRIS: [echoing] We should be killing them.
- PARRISH: Wait!
[A gunshot is heard right after. Lydia's eyes widen in realization as she slowly turns to the obscure hall, realizes Parrish is somewhere near her and bravely goes find him]
[Back in HALWYN'S CELL, Fenris enters and prepares to end with Parrish at a near-frozen state but before he does so, he reveals why he wants to do it]
- FENRIS: I can't be afraid anymore.
[Fenris points his gun at the side of Parrish's forehead, who glares at him with loathing but before he pulls the trigger, Lydia arrives to the cell, thrusts her hands forward and lets out a Banshee-wail, which thwarts the doctor's plan to kill Parrish and throws him with so much force toward the wall he falls to the ground, knocked out. Lydia gasps in exhaustionand notices Parrish near-frozen, who looks at her surprised that she has come against his warnings. Lydia is relieved to see that her fellow Harbinger of Death is still alive and Parrish is able to smile at her weakly as if to say "Thank you." as he keeps shivering in the cold temperature he was exposed to]
BEACON HILLS PRESERVE[]
[Scott and Malia have made their way back to Beacon Hills and arrive at the exact place they found Halwyn's body, which was taken by the authorities to the hospital's morgue. They stop to catch their breath and eventually Malia is unable to hide her curiosity any longer before questioning Scott]
- MALIA: Okay, I'm not good with subtlety. What the hell happened last night?
[Scott sighs and hesitates, knowing it is difficult and embarrassing to say]
- SCOTT: Yeah. I get it, I freaked out. Which you freaked you out.
- MALIA: So you admit that you freaked out.
[She thinks about last night for a second and realizes Scott misread her feelings, which offends her the tiniest bit]
- MALIA: Wait a minute, I didn't freak out.
- SCOTT: [confused] You haven't been trying to get me to talk because you're freaked out that I freaked out?
- MALIA: [irritably] No, I've been trying to get you to talk because, you know, I'm Well, I'm worried about you.
[Scott looks astounded with this answer but takes well Malia's unnecessary concerns for him and soothes her]
- SCOTT: Uh, I'm okay. Thanks.
[The two become silent for a moment until Malia changes the subject to one of her past]
- MALIA: I was hunted by my dad.
- SCOTT: I was hunted by my girlfriend's dad.
[Scott and Malia laugh at each other's last remarks for a couple of seconds, implying their relationship is getting stronger at the moment]
- SCOTT: [playfully] Does that fear ever go away?
[Malia's smile disappears from her face, answering Scott's question with a "No" and she suddenly spots a red laser sight behind Scott, which leaves her uneasy]
- MALIA: What if I told you I saw a red laser sight right now?
[Scott doesn't believe Malia at first and is about to say she is crazy]
- SCOTT: I'd say that you are seriously...
[He turns around and becomes a little anxious after seeing Malia is correct]
- SCOTT: ...not paranoid.
[The red laser sight, however and to their relief, turns out to belong to Argent as he shouts at them]
- ARGENT: Relax. It's just me.
[Scott sighs in relief while Malia on the contrary looks a little exasperated by Argent's constant use of Hunter equipment]
- MALIA: Do you have to use that thing?
- ARGENT: To determine the trajectory of the bullet, yes. Show me where you found the body.
[Malia points at it with her leg and Argent paces around it. Scott looks at Malia while she isn't looking and smiles in weak amusement before Argent points his red laser sight at them, making Scott and Malia back away]
- ARGENT: Take it easy, safety's on. Got it. Scott do me a favor. Glow your eyes, tell me if you can see it, too.
[Scott agrees to this term as his eyes flash bright Alpha crimson and notices the slug in the exact same tree Argent is pointing his red laser sight right now before his eyes return to normal]
- SCOTT: I see it.
[Argent removes the slug from the tree and holds in front of his eyes]
- ARGENT: That's because it's made from an element with a higher heat signature than regular metal. It shines infrared, like your eyes, because it's silver.
BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL[]
[Liam, Mason and Corey keep looking for Aaron but eventually Liam notices him sat in a dark classroom and he, Mason and Corey walk toward him concerned]
- LIAM: Aaron?
[Aaron seems to be studying for the same History test Mason, Corey and Liam will have next day, turns to the three friends and smiles but he looks as though nothing happened to him at all]
- "AARON": Hey guys.
[Mason becomes relaxed now that he knows Aaron is safe and sound]
- MASON: Thank God you're okay. Where have you been?
- "AARON": I forgot we have a History test tomorrow.
- COREY: We've been trying to call you.
[Aaron pulls out his phone and tries to turn it on but he seems to have ran out of battery]
- "AARON": Huh. Must've died.
[Liam looks at Aaron as though in shadiness, clearly he's not believing Aaron's telling the truth]
BEACON HILLS PRESERVE[]
[Scott, Malia and Argent are walking their way back out of the preserve and Malia glances at Scott and sighs loudly]
- MALIA: How come no one's saying anything? Silver, copper, lead. Who cares what a bullet's made out of? Don't they all do the same thing?
- SCOTT: Well, there's a myth that a silver bullet can kill a werewolf.
- ARGENT: Silver's too soft for bullets, they don't fly straight.
[Malia looks muddled over who could have shot Halwyn with the bullet and inquires]
- MALIA: If you didn't fire it, then who did?
[Scott hazards a guess about the mysterious killer]
- SCOTT: Someone who doesn't know what they're doing.
[Right after, Argent expresses his conjecture, which ends up being correct, dramatically]
- ARGENT: Someone dangerous. A new hunter.
MCCALL HOUSE[]
[Scott, Malia and Lydia gather in the kitchen, where Lydia has just revealed Dr. Fenris' malicious actions to the patients of Eichen House and Scott becomes astonished by this revelation]
- SCOTT: [incredulously] He killed every supernatural in the Closed Unit? All of them?
- LYDIA: He said he couldn't see it any other way.
[Malia can't help but retort sarcastically while neglecting Dr. Fenris' reasons to commit murders]
- MALIA: Well, I've got another way. You don't kill everyone.
[Lydia recalls what Dr. Fenris was saying before he tried to kill Parrish and reveals it to the other two]
- LYDIA: I think he was afraid.
[Scott turns around and puts the pieces together before he comes to a dawning realization]
- SCOTT: The wolves, the rats. It keeps coming back to the same thing, fear.
[Malia shrugs and frowns in confusion, not understanding where this conversation is going]
- MALIA: But what is everyone afraid of?
[Scott ponders about this for a moment until he sets the bullet's slug on the kitchen table and gets another dawning realization]
- SCOTT: ... Us.
[Scott begins having FLASHBACKS of Liam walking through the high school and during his way to the classroom, the other students act coldly toward him and avoid him. He reaches the classroom and sits next to a female classmate but she also acts strange with him as she grabs her stuff and moves to another desk and more students keep looking at him coldly while Scott explains their behavior toward them in voiceover]
- SCOTT: [voiceover] We don't know what fear would do to somebody. I mean, it can change them. They'll look at us differently. They'll do things that they've never done before.
[The screen cuts back to present, where Malia gets a compassionless conclusion]
- MALIA: People can be so stupid.
[Lydia interjects and corrects her friend as she's misreading people's feelings]
- LYDIA: They're not stupid, they're scared.
- SCOTT: And scared people will do things that you wouldn't believe.
BEACON HILLS PRESERVE[]
[Monroe has been obviously trying to track down Brett. Her sleeve is now covered of blood as well as a result from her wounds from her earlier encounter with Brett, who, unbeknownst to her, was expecting her to show up as he jumps from the tree behind her while she was distracted with her injuries and knocks her to the ground, disarming her from her knife]
- MONROE: Agh!
[She tries to get away but the partially-transformed Brett stops her from doing so by grabbing her in a choke-hold with one of his hands. Brett is still bleeding black because of his wolfsbane poisoning. They both get up while Brett keeps holding the new Hunter, who is unable break free because her feet can't touch the ground, and growls at her before using his free hand to try to slash her but is prevented from doing so just as he's shot in the chest by an arrow, forcing him to release Monroe. Outnumbered, Brett growls and flees as fast as he can while Monroe wonders who could have just saved her and shouts at anyone that can hear her]
- MONROE: Who's there? Who are you?
[From within the trees, a very familiar male voice is heard]
- GERARD: Someone who has been doing this a lot longer than you.
[The man that just saved Monroe steps out of the trees and shadows and he's none other than Gerard Argent, a far more experienced Hunter than Monroe, with a smug expression that indicates he's proud of Monroe's talents as a beginner Hunter]
- GERARD: But also someone who recognizes raw talent when he sees it.
