Scott Howard is the movie counterpart of Scott McCall. Unlike the latter, Scott Howard gain his condition from his father. He plays basketball at his high school in Beacontown. The basketball team, however, is not very good. When Scott becomes a werewolf, he uses his newfound gift to help his team win their first match in three years but ends up hogging the ball out "wolf fever".
Scott becomes famous due to his lycanthropy, but those who were his fans, turns on him when he is provoked into attack Mick, his rival.

Scott Howard is known to be a selfless, caring, optimistic, trustworthy, talented, heroic, outgoing, well-behaved, affectionate, rational, dignified, sensitive, conscientious, open-minded, tidy, tough, humble, observant, warm-hearted, athletic, righteous and deferential young man.
Differences from Scott McCall[]
The most obvious differences is how the characters gained their conditions. In the show, Scott is bitten by Peter Hale. In the movie, it was passed to him by his father. Howard also plays for his high school basketball team, the Beavers, while McCall plays for the Cyclones.
