“ | Scott: "Okay, Alec... the people that are hunting you? They've got a leader. Her name is Monroe, and she's got a lot of followers." Alec: "Like what, hundreds?" Scott: "Thousands-- all over the world." Alec: "So what are we doing here?" Scott: "We're meeting up with some people who can help us. Some of them are always with us... others come when we need them. But tonight, we need everyone we can get." Alec: "Are they all... different?" Scott: "Some of them are. Some can do things you'd never believe. And others might only be human, but they make up for it by being really smart, or really good in a fight." Alec: "Who are they?" Scott: "My friends... My pack. And you can be with us if you want... But you're going to have to fight." |

Cultural References[]
- Gerard Argent (and later, Derek Hale) quote William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. The play was believed to have been written in 1599, and it was one of a number of plays Shakespeare wrote about historical Roman events. The play is set in 44 BC and shows Brutus and Cassius involved in a conspiracy to kill Julius Caesar in order to ensure he does not become dictator of Rome. The event and the play about it are interesting because while Brutus and Cassius (and their co-conspirators) were trying to preserve the Roman way of life, they ultimately set off a civil war that destroyed the republic entirely.
- This could be a parallel to the current storyline involving Gerard Argent, Tamora Monroe, and the Hunter army against the supernatural creatures of the world; Gerard and Monroe, like Brutus and Cassius, sought to prevent supernatural creatures from using their powers to take over the world, but in the end, they only served to prove to many in the human community that supernaturals were protectors who were not to be feared.
- Stiles Stilinski refers to Derek Hale as an "unsub" in his case with the FBI (which is a truncated version of "unknown subject" or "unidentified subject"), a term most often used in American crime procedurals such as Criminal Minds, which, coincidentally, was originally created by Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis.
